Leicester DIY SOS

We have been been delighted to support the DIY SOS team for many years on their various projects all over the UK- our first structural repairs being carried out for them back in 2012. On this occasion, we were delighted to answer the call for assistance on a project in our hometown of Leicester.

Window Lintel Installation

JTC Structural Repairs were called to investigate collapsing brickwork above the windows of a 1970s brick and lime mortar constructed property. The window openings were constructed with soldier course bricks above the openings.

Subsidence Repairs

JTC Structural Repairs were asked to provide a solution for Subsidence related damage to a prospective buyer of a period detached house.

The property showed evidence of cracking related to downward movement of the foundations.

Internal/External Wall Separation

The internal walls between first and second floor level were separating from the rear elevation of the property due weak bond strength between the brickwork and a large area of wall within the stairwell having no lateral restrain provision.
